Beautiful, quiet, love this area. If my aunt (she worked in a flower shop)was still alive she would just go crazy over how the moss just falls off the big beautiful trees out there. I could get a book and sit under the trees and read all day if it was possible. Just so very relaxing. Everyone who works here is so sweet. You have questions and they have the answers for ya! Can’t wait for the fish and alligator lab to be done.
Lots of fish & crabs to catch and good shrimping also.
Beautiful area and it was a great day when we went... cool and overcast. We would have loved it if we caught nothing, but it was a bonus to catch a giant red and over 100 crabs.

It is a great place for family fun and get away from home life.
Excellent place for kids/family. Piers out over the water to fish and crab from. Pets ok but must be on leash. No overnight camping, in fact it is illegal to be on the Refuge from Sunset to official sunnrise. But is a great day trip VERY safe, rural and quiet area.
